Role Summary

Senior Compliance Officer, Global Policies, Education, and Investigations (Remote) who will develop, implement, and enhance global compliance and privacy policies and training, and lead the global investigations team. Will collaborate with senior leadership across Jazz and manage external counsel on sensitive investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and enhancing a global compliance and privacy policy framework; drafting policies and standard operating procedures with stakeholders
  • Developing, implementing, and enhancing the global compliance and privacy training matrix, including creating training modules and communications support documents
  • Leading the global compliance investigations team; regularly conducting, managing, and reporting on investigations
  • Reviewing and updating policies and the Jazz Code of Ethics to address key risk areas and mitigation strategies
  • Developing and supporting compliance and privacy communications and promotional activities across the organization
  • Creating training modules and education tools to train employees, including senior executives and the board
  • Chairs the Investigations Oversight Committee; coordinates with Legal, HR, and other functions to ensure a thorough investigation process and appropriate corrective actions
  • Serves as a key member of the Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy lead team; drives consistency across the company
  • Stays informed on new laws and industry trends and reflects them in policies, training, and investigations approach
  • Assists Compliance Department colleagues with cross-functional projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of in-house pharmaceutical compliance and/or privacy experience
  • 8+ years conducting investigations involving healthcare fraud/abuse and/or bribery/corruption matters
  • Law degree preferred, though not required
  • Strong policy design and drafting skills; experience in multinational pharmaceutical settings preferred
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing compliance and/or privacy training; adult learning expertise preferred
  • Solid judgment, business acumen, and understanding of multinational pharmaceutical operations
  • Understanding of US and international laws governing pharmaceuticals/healthcare
  • Experience working across functions and geographies with a customer-service orientation
  • Experience advising global senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills; collaborative and proactive; able to handle heavy workloads
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface across all levels of the organization and with external parties
  • Effective managerial capability with ability to lead a team and foster a positive environment
  • Travel 20-30% required
