Role Summary

Senior Compliance Officer, Global Policies, Education, and Investigations (Remote) responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing global compliance and privacy policies and training, and leading the global investigations team. Advises senior leadership and collaborates with HR and Legal to support Jazz’s global strategic objectives and strong culture of compliance. Manages external counsel and handles sensitive, complex investigations worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and enhancing a global compliance and privacy policy framework; drafting policies and standard operating procedures with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Developing, implementing, and enhancing the global compliance and privacy training matrix, including creating training modules and education/communication support documents
  • Leading the global compliance investigations team and regularly conducting, managing, and reporting on investigations
  • Reviewing and updating compliance and privacy policies and the Jazz Code of Ethics to address key risk areas and mitigation strategies
  • Developing and supporting compliance and privacy communications and promotional activities, including Compliance and Ethics Week and Privacy Week
  • Creating training modules and tools to train Jazz employees, including senior executives and the board, on key laws, regulations, policies, and SOPs
  • Chairs the Investigations Oversight Committee and coordinates with senior stakeholders to ensure consistency, appropriate corrective actions, and accurate reporting
  • Serving as a key member of the Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy lead team to drive consistency across the company
  • Staying informed on new laws, regulations, and industry trends and reflecting developments in policies, education, training, and investigations
  • Assisting Compliance colleagues with cross-functional projects to achieve corporate objectives and maintain a collegial, collaborative environment

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical compliance and/or privacy experience in-house
  • Minimum 8+ years conducting investigations involving healthcare fraud/abuse and/or bribery/corruption in a corporate setting
  • Law degree preferred, though not required
  • Strong policy design and drafting skills; experience with multinational pharmaceutical policies preferred
  • Extensive experience developing and implementing compliance/privacy training, including adult learning expertise preferred
  • Solid judgment, business acumen, and understanding of multinational pharmaceutical operations
  • Strong understanding of US and international pharmaceutical/healthcare laws and regulations
  • Experience working across functions and geographies with a customer-service orientation
  • Experience advising global senior executives
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, efficient, and a team player
  • Ability to work accurately with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, flexibility, and cultural adaptability
  • Effective management with ability to lead and motivate a team
  • 20-30% travel required
