Role Summary

Senior Compliance Officer, Global Commercial (Remote) is a senior member of the Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy department responsible for advancing the company’s compliance and ethics strategy across Jazz’s global commercial organization. Leads a team of compliance professionals, provides guidance to global Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and Patient Advocacy functions, and collaborates to support strategic objectives and a strong culture of compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as trusted strategic partner and risk advisor to senior global leaders across Commercial, Medical, and Regulatory teams; provide updates on compliance risk areas, mitigation strategies, and dashboards evidencing program effectiveness.
  • Provide expert strategic compliance advice to global Commercial leaders, identifying and managing fraud, abuse, and kickback risks in engagements with healthcare providers and/or patients.
  • Coordinate with Global Policies, Education, and Investigations to develop global compliance and ethics policies and training materials for the global Commercial team.
  • Regularly conduct compliance training.
  • Support and attend global Commercial meetings and events to provide compliance guidance and conduct live monitoring as needed.
  • Set and communicate standards for compliance support and risk tolerance for the team.
  • Collaborate with Monitoring, Auditing, and Third-Party Risk Management to design and implement an effective monitoring and audit program, focusing on higher-risk engagements.
  • Work as a key member of the Ethics and Compliance lead team to drive consistency in compliance and ethics across the company.
  • Stay informed on new laws, regulations, and industry trends and reflect them in compliance controls for the global Commercial organization.
  • Coordinate with Legal to support the global Commercial organization.
  • Assist Ethics and Compliance colleagues with cross-functional projects to achieve corporate objectives and maintain a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • 10–12 years of relevant compliance experience, with at least 5 years supporting global commercial organizations in pharmaceutical/biotech context.
  • Law degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong judgment, business acumen, and ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks in commercial strategies.
  • Extensive experience advising senior global Commercial leaders.
  • Solid understanding of laws and regulations governing the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with global operations experience.
  • Experience working across multiple functions and geographies with strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, self-motivation, efficiency, and ability to manage heavy workload and work independently while collaborating with teams.
  • Ability to work accurately with urgency in a fast-paced environment; strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and collaborative skills.
  • Travel: 20-30%.
