Cardiopulmonary Specialist (CPS) — PAH / PH-ILD Sales (Remote: San Francisco Bay Area)
Responsibilities:
- Promote assigned UT products (incl. Tyvaso) per guidance within territory and designated accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, and specialty distributor staff; deliver product messaging/education.
- Analyze sales reports; develop business plans to increase business and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Coordinate with field team (e.g., RBD and others) to optimize selling, education, and support.
- Use available resources and maintain expert knowledge of disease state, products, and competitors.
- Use sales force automation for territory effectiveness and documentation.
- Complete administrative requirements (e.g., expense and call reporting) and adhere to promotion guidelines.
- Attend PAH and/or PH-ILD symposia/conferences and patient support group meetings.
Territory & Travel:
- San Francisco, CA and Bay Area; 75–80% travel (face-to-face customer interaction, UT offices, national events).
Minimum Requirements (CPS Specialist):
- Bachelor’s (preferably nursing/life science) or equivalent.
- 6+ years specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales to specialty providers OR 6+ years advanced lung disease healthcare/nursing.
- 2+ years cardiovascular/pulmonary therapeutics; 2+ years specialty pharma/biotech sales.
- Cardiovascular/pulmonary therapeutic expertise; strong communication and leadership; decision-making/planning/interpersonal skills; UT product knowledge; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: 2+ years in institutional/major teaching centers.
Minimum Requirements (Senior CPS Specialist):
- Bachelor’s (preferably nursing/life science) or equivalent.
- 8+ years specialty pharmaceutical sales; 4+ years specialty pharma/biotech sales.
- 2+ years institutional/major teaching centers; 2+ years cardiovascular/pulmonary therapeutics.
- 2+ years as successful CPS exceeding targets; leadership and multi-region selling excellence; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: 2+ years specialty pharmacy-distributed product sales.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary (good-faith estimate): CPS $130k–$160k; Senior CPS $155k–$180k (base only; may include incentive and long-term incentives).
- Eligible for medical/dental/vision, 401(k)/ESPP, paid time off, parental leave, disability benefits, and other programs.
