Role Summary

Senior Business Development Representative to drive the early stages of our business development cycle relating to peptide discovery technologies, focusing on lead generation, initial outreach, and first client interactions to support the out-licensing of our peptide discovery platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of OmniAbโ€™s platforms and corporate objectives through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Initiate and manage first contact with potential partners, delivering tailored messaging and nurturing relationships throughout the licensing process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects during the early phases of the partnering process.
  • Interact with internal teams (Science and Legal) to ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate and track early-stage partnering activities and provide regular status updates.
  • Assist in coordinating messaging for partner presentations in collaboration with Science teams.
  • Stay current on scientific literature, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify and source strategic collaboration opportunities via independent research, networking, and attendance at industry events and scientific conferences.
  • Support other strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required: BSc in a relevant Business or Sciences field and 4+ years of experience in relevant client-facing sales roles in the peptide, antibody or drug discovery space.
  • Required: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the peptide technology space.
  • Required: Strong understanding of peptide-based drug discovery, development and partnering processes.
  • Required: Experience with peptide synthesis, peptide therapeutics, or peptide screening platforms.
  • Required: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with biotech and pharma stakeholders.
  • Required: Excellent communication and presentation skills with a confident, humble approach.
  • Required: Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
  • Required: Experience working in cross-functional environments.
