Responsibilities:
- Support Drug Discovery by developing and maintaining operations for scaling sample preparation, organization/tracking, data entry, safety procedures, and other assigned duties.
- Operationalize and enhance Sample Management: build infrastructure to maintain/distribute sample types and respond to evolving scientific needs while improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to execute processes for inventory storage, sample preparation, and logistics for internal and external assays.
- Manage compound logistics across locations, departments, and contract research organizations (CROs).
- Manage and optimize complex compound library systems using cross-functional and external networks.
- Design and execute plate preparation for weekly SAR screening using laboratory robotics.
- Lead/enhance workflows for sample storage, manual neat/weigh operations, liquid handling, and delivery to internal/external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to software, hardware, and sample dispensing.
- Develop, test, and validate updates to software, hardware, and procedures; recommend and implement usability/efficiency improvements.
- Promote and uphold a safety culture and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Steward physical inventory and associated data outputs, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Provide cross-functional support and mentor/coach diverse talent as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- BS/MS in chemical, biological, engineering sciences, or related field with hands-on lab experience (academia or industry).
- Proven experience with laboratory automation and instrumentation relevant to compound management (e.g., balances, liquid handlers, storage systems).
- Full-time work authorization in the United States; employer will not provide sponsorship/visa support (e.g., F-1 OPT/STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, L-1).
Additional Skills and Preferences:
- Library preparation/management for high-throughput screening.
- Familiarity with automation platforms (Beckman Echo, Tecan, High Res Biosystems) and automated storage systems (Hamilton, Azenta).
- Experience managing inventories of neat and solubilized samples.
- LIMS (or similar inventory/request database) proficiency.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail; independent and collaborative work.
- Strong communication skills across biology, medicinal chemistry, and bioassay.
- Automation control software experience (e.g., Cellario, Green Button Go).
- Knowledge of logistics for research materials.
- Experience with programming or other computational tools in a research environment.

Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $71,250 - $127,600.
