Responsibilities:
- Engage site resources in achieving an injury-free workplace.
- Develop, establish, and sustain HSE systems, processes, and programs for the RTP site to support compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Develop and establish HSE aspects for RTP and provide ongoing technical support for OSHA compliance programs (e.g., LOTO, machine guarding, fall protection).
- Support and influence HSE event, CAPA, and change control processes; apply the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk.
- Provide floor support to multiple operations (auditing, data collection, trending, and support for local safety teams).
- Leverage knowledge of severe injury risk to minimize potential events and increase awareness among site resources.
- Provide front-line physical safety support and training.
- Investigate HSE events for root cause and CAPA.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Scientific, Engineering, or HSE discipline.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Bio/Pharmaceutical Experience Preferred:
- GMP operational experience.
- Experience with CAPA system for HSE changes and deviations.
Additional Preferences:
- Prior HSE experience.
- Strong HSE regulatory knowledge.
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
Additional Information:
- Strong communication and computer skills required.
- Monday through Friday; flexible support required (production schedules, shutdowns). Occasional extended/off-hour work may be required.
- Based out of RTP site with ability to travel to Indianapolis and other global Lilly sites as required.
Benefits/Compensation (if applicable):
- Anticipated wage: $65,250 - $169,400.
