Role Summary

The Salesforce Platform Technical Lead supports the Data, Technology, and Engineering (DTE) team, focusing on CGT systems and integrated Slot management for patient therapy across Commercial and Supply Chain functions. Responsible for collaborating with functional SMEs, defining technical requirements, leading solution design and configurations, managing DevOps resources, mitigating tech debt, overseeing data models, delivering enhancements and integrations, and contributing to AI-driven initiatives while ensuring GxP compliance and scalable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Salesforce-based Slot management portal delivery for therapies.
  • Understand system and technical needs, create/validate functional and technical requirements, facilitate design sessions, and define solution and GxP deliverables.
  • Document, assess, and drive technical design needs to accelerate process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to strategic direction and roadmaps for Commercial and Supply Chain capabilities.
  • Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction across leadership levels.
  • Review, plan, test, and implement internal and vendor releases/upgrades.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams, QA stakeholders, and IT peers for platform support and projects.
  • Build relationships with IT, Quality, Vendor partners to deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle for regulated CGT platforms across Commercial and Supply Chain.
  • Coordinate release management and production schedules with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead platform communications (status, downtime, releases) to stakeholders.
  • Act as Operations SME for enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and integrations with GxP expertise.
  • Manage risk and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Champion and improve delivery practices for efficiency.
  • Define and optimize the DevOps framework and delivery model.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and development capacity across teams.
  • Contribute to budget/forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Coach and lead colleagues and managed service providers.

Qualifications

  • Software vendor and MSP management experience.
  • Executive-level communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Track record of driving continuous operational improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry and technology trends; Agile SDLC, DevOps, and GxP expertise.
  • Ability to configure, customize, and document SDLC processes.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 in GxP environments and related SDLC requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced business environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technology field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge in CGT, patient portal, Chain of Identity, capacity planning, manufacturing slot allocation, and related supply chain systems.
  • Experience with Salesforce platforms; patient/product scheduling and Salesforce Agent Force or AI automation tools.
  • Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry experience; experience with SaaS vendors and GxP systems, including DR/Backup/Retention/Archival.
  • Experience with Part 11 CFR 21 GxP Validation; stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
  • Experience across architecture domains; AGILE leadership experience; Agile/DevOps/ITIL certifications (nice-to-have); Cell and Gene Therapy tech experience (nice-to-have).
