Territory Representative (Field Sales)
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate product information meaningfully and relevantly to each customer; tailor discussions to customer needs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customers; meet decision makers to understand practice/business model, influencers, customer needs, and identify opportunities.
- Develop customer strategy and account growth plans to drive sales of Animal Health products/services.
- Develop territory/account plans; partner with Technical Services, ID/Infrastructure Specialists, Monitoring Specialists, National Account Managers, and Distribution Field Partners.
- Collaborate across species teams to enhance knowledge of the full product portfolio.
- Analyze sales results monthly; manage expenses within budget.
- Identify/select education, training, and program offerings to address customer needs.
- Stay current on products, industry trends, competitors, and network structure; share insights to influence sales trends.
- Develop and meet learning and development objectives with leadership.
Education
- High school diploma required; Bachelorβs degree preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Familiarity with Beef and Dairy industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Adaptability to a changing environment.
- Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint; ability to use an iPad.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Travel overnight; some weekend activity.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Animal Health sales and/or account management experience.
- Beef and/or Dairy management; animal health and/or monitoring experience.
- Knowledge of animal health protocols and biological/pharmaceutical products.
- Experience with animal health resellers; existing territory relationships.
- Spanish fluency preferred (not required).
