Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy around formulary adoption of rheumatology brands to drive appropriate utilization of approved products.
- Increase demand by creating, organizing, and executing a strategic business plan for key strategic hospitals in designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-focused business plans based on local market dynamics.
- Apply deep knowledge of disease area, market dynamics, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to navigate business opportunities and challenges.
- Execute sales activities: present products and disease states, share approved clinical data with physicians and teams, and build hospital relationships with clinicians, administrative staff, and decision-makers.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) to develop, execute, and revise strategies to meet access and sales targets.
- Assess customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and headquarters teams; implement new strategies to seize opportunities.
- Support Area Business Leaders in identifying business opportunities and diagnosing key business/implementation challenges in assigned hospitals and adjacent markets.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree (4-year).
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare or similarly structured industries with geographically dispersed sales teams; including 2+ years in hospital sales (or similar) managing sophisticated accounts (including large academic centers) within the past 5 years.
- Demonstrated therapeutic area/product knowledge expertise and community understanding; strong cross-functional collaboration in matrix environments.
- Live within the territory (or within 100 miles of its border); travel 60โ80% by driving and/or flying; valid driverโs license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.
Driving is an essential function: must have a fully valid, unrestricted driverโs license.
