Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy to support formulary adoption of rheumatology brands and drive appropriate utilization of approved products.
- Increase demand by creating, organizing, and executing strategic business plans for key strategic hospitals within designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-specific business plans aligned with local market dynamics.
- Apply deep understanding of the disease area, market dynamics, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to address opportunities and challenges.
- Deliver product and disease-state presentations; share approved clinical data with physicians and their teams.
- Establish key hospital relationships with clinicians, administrative staff, and decision-makers.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) to develop, execute, and revise strategies to meet access and sales targets.
- Evaluate customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and headquarters teams; implement new strategies to seize opportunities.
- Assist Area Business Leaders in identifying business opportunities and diagnosing implementation challenges.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year).
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare (or similar) with geographically dispersed sales; includes 2+ years in hospital sales (or similar) managing sophisticated accounts (including large academic centers) within the past 5 years.
- Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge and track record.
- Robust business and cross-functional collaboration skills in matrix environments.
- Reside within territory or within 100 miles of territory border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups/disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Experience with patient services, market access, buy & bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.

Driving is an Essential Function: maintain a fully valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Training: Successful completion of initial training (including home study; ≤8 hours/day, ≤40 hours/week).
