Key Responsibilities:
- Build institutional advocacy for formulary adoption of rheumatology brands to drive appropriate utilization of approved products.
- Create, organize, and execute strategic business plans for key strategic hospitals within designated rheumatology academic and government institutions.
- Collaborate with local partners to develop and sustain institution-specific business plans based on local market dynamics.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of disease area, market dynamics, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to navigate business opportunities and challenges.
- Conduct sales activities: present products and disease states; share approved clinical data with physicians and teams; develop relationships with clinicians, administrators, and decision-makers.
- Facilitate cross-functional Area Team Meetings (ATMs) for designated hospital accounts; develop, execute, and revise strategies to meet product access and sales targets.
- Evaluate customer needs and provide tailored insights to field and headquarters teams; implement new strategies.
- Support Area Business Leaders in identifying business opportunities and diagnosing implementation challenges in designated hospitals and adjacent markets.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare or similar industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams, including 2+ years in hospital sales (or similar) managing sophisticated accounts (including large academic centers) within the past 5 years.
- Strong therapeutic area/product knowledge and proven track record.
- Robust business background with strong cross-functional collaboration in matrix environments.
- Reside within the territory or within 100 miles of the territory border; travel 60–80%; valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.

Driving is essential: must have a fully valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Training: for field roles with dedicated training—complete initial training including home study (≤8 hours/day, ≤40 hours/week).
