Reliability Engineering Technician (Lilly Medicine Foundry)
Responsibilities:
- Execute predictive maintenance (PdM) routes (vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil sampling)
- Perform precision lubrication across manufacturing and utility assets (lubricant application, re-greasing, oil top-offs) per OEM/site standards
- Apply precision maintenance techniques (laser shaft alignment, belt/sheave alignment, torque/tolerance verification) and document in GMARS
- Analyze equipment condition data to identify anomalies, degradation trends, and failure precursors; escalate with recommended corrective actions
- Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA); track corrective actions to closure in GMARS
- Review/optimize preventive maintenance job plans, frequencies, and task content based on performance and reliability data
- Maintain accurate PdM records in GMARS (asset data, failure codes, labor hours)
- Communicate equipment health status and coordinate reliability-driven work across functions
- Produce reports summarizing PdM performance and overall equipment health
- Provide field troubleshooting support as needed (including outside normal business hours)
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 years trade experience (or equivalent) OR Technical/Vocational associate degree
- Hands-on experience with condition monitoring technologies (vibration, thermography, ultrasound)
- Experience with precision maintenance practices
- Working knowledge of rotating equipment, utilities, and manufacturing assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn site software systems (CMMS platforms and data analysis tools)
- Knowledge of CMMS functionalities/workflows/utilization
- Strong analytical skills
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time (Lilly will not sponsor visas)

- Level 2 vibration analysis; Level 1 oil analysis/thermography/ultrasonic
- Familiarity with RCM methodologies; SMRP certification (CMRP and/or CMRT)
- Mechanical/electrical/instrumentation familiarity typical for chemical manufacturing
Location/Work Conditions:
- Permanently based at the Lilly Medicine Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana
- Supports a 24/7 operation (off-hours flexibility required)
- PPE required in manufacturing areas

Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $33.89–$49.71
- Possible company bonus for eligible full-time equivalent employees
