Regional Scientific Director (Associate Director) β€” Mid-Atlantic Region (MD, DC, DE, VA, WV, NC, SC)

Responsibilities:
- Educate and engage KOLs across ATTR amyloidosis and HAE on CRISPR gene editing platform, MoA, and clinical data for nex-z and lonvo-z.
- Map patient journey at key centers; identify site capabilities/preferences.
- Create individualized scientific engagement plans aligned to scientific narrative and medical strategy.
- Identify external insights/knowledge gaps and report via CRM.
- Attend medical congresses; staff booths, cover sessions, and gather/report insights.
- Present scientific evidence at institutions as appropriate.
- Provide scientific support for Phase 3 trial site start-up/activation/recruitment.
- Build and maintain relationships with Investigators and site teams.
- Identify and help resolve barriers to activation and/or patient recruitment; escalate feedback/concerns to clinical teams.
- Maintain compliance and scientific integrity (timely trainings, adherence to policies).

Qualifications / Preferred:
- Doctorate/terminal degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.); 3+ years industry/related experience.
- Extensive clinical trial experience including Phase 3.
- Prior pharma experience as MSL/RSD with scientific exchange in regulated/compliance environment.
- Strong oral/written communication; proven influential presentations; ability to manage a geographically assigned territory.
- Matrixed cross-functional success; critical prioritization and risk assessment; adaptability to change.
- Preferred: allergy/immunology/HAE; cardiology (ATTR-CM/-PN); or genetic medicine; new product launch experience.
- Travel 50–70% (overnights); valid driver’s license; proficiency with Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook/Zoom.

Compensation:
- Base salary: $216,000–$264,000; performance bonus and new-hire equity grant; annual equity award eligibility.
