Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the Sleep sales force within the Sales Region.
Responsibilities
- Manage Specialty Sales Consultants with retail and specialty focus.
- Recruit and select Specialty Sales Consultants in retail and specialty pharmacy distribution channels.
- Provide team leadership; ensure integrity.
- Coach, train, and develop consultants through virtual and face-to-face interactions.
- Provide regular verbal and written performance/development feedback.
- Know and ensure compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures.
- Understand and comply with legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., FD&C Act, Prescription Drug Marketing Act, Pharma Code, OIG guidelines).
- Promote and ensure promotion of products for approved indications using current company materials.
- Implement the company marketing plan; communicate direction to regional staff.
- Execute launch and pull-through strategies; formulate and direct regional business plan.
- Maintain expert knowledge of managed care access environment.
- Partner with Managed Markets to implement and measure push/pull initiatives to meet sales objectives.
- Establish procedures/processes for communication needed to accomplish regional objectives.
- Oversee proper utilization of corporate resources/assets.
- Present positive/professional company image; ensure ethical marketing/compliance.
- Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Achieve sales forecasts/targets; perform activities within budget.
- Perform ad-hoc special projects.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent; post-graduate degree/coursework preferred.
- 3+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience (specialty or hospital preferred).
- 5+ years medical/pharmaceutical product sales experience, including 2β3 years specialist/hospital (prefer sleep and/or CNS/Neuroscience).
- Working knowledge of healthcare payment/reimbursement systems (retail, hospital, specialty).
- Experience planning/executing product launches with push/pull.
- Experience leading sales teams in virtual environments.
- Experience leading diverse sales portfolio teams in rare disease and retail.
- Experience leading managed care pull-through initiatives.
- Extensive travel required.
