Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ Sleep sales force within the Sales Region. Leads and manages Specialty Sales Consultants, directly promotes Jazz products, and manages projects involving cross-functional communication and activities.
Job Requirements / Responsibilities:
- Manage Specialty Sales Consultants (retail and specialty focus)
- Recruit and select Specialty Sales Consultants (retail and specialty pharmacy distribution channels)
- Provide leadership and ensure team integrity
- Coach, train, and develop consultants via virtual and face-to-face interactions
- Provide timely verbal and written performance/development feedback
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures
- Understand and comply with legal/regulatory requirements
- Promote approved indications using current company materials
- Implement the company marketing plan; direct regional staff
- Execute launch and pull-through strategies for new products
- Formulate and implement the region’s business plan
- Maintain expert knowledge of managed care access environment
- Partner with Managed Markets to implement and measure push/pull initiatives
- Establish/manage procedures for communication needed to meet region objectives
- Oversee proper utilization of corporate resources and assets
- Present a positive, professional image consistent with ethical marketing/compliance
- Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
- Achieve sales forecasts/targets; operate within budget
- Perform ad-hoc special projects as needed
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (post-graduate preferred)
- 3+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience (specialty/hospital preferred)
- 5+ years medical/pharmaceutical product sales experience (2–3 years specialist/hospital preferred), preferably sleep and/or CNS/Neuroscience
- Working knowledge of healthcare payment and reimbursement systems (retail/hospital/specialty)
- Experience planning/executing product launches with push/pull-through
- Ability to lead sales teams in virtual environments
- Experience leading diverse sales teams in rare disease and retail settings
- Experience leading managed care pull-through initiatives
- Extensive travel required

- Base pay range: $176,800.00–$265,200.00; may be eligible for discretionary bonus/incentive, equity, and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401k, flexible paid vacation).
