Regional Sales Manager (States covered: Northern CA (Sacramento), Northern NV (Reno), ID, WA, OR)
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Attract, train, motivate, and retain a high-performing sales team.
- Coach teams to execute an omni-channel approach (live and virtual).
- Reward and recognize individual and team accomplishments; focus on maximizing sales goals.
- Analyze and interpret customer needs with direct reports.
- Design/create sales capabilities (training, sales operations, territory management).
- Ensure regional strategies are communicated, executed, and successes shared.
- Develop, align, and implement regional/territory business plans.
- Foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in sales approaches.
- Work with internal partners to hire, train, develop, and retain talent.
- Work collaboratively with Compliance to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and policies.
- Build relationships with key large group practices and gastroenterology thought leaders in the region.
- Partner with the HR Business Partner to evaluate, develop, and advance top talent.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Ideally 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry; 2β3 years sales management experience preferred.
- Bachelorβs degree; MBA preferred; 10+ years progressive specialty pharmaceutical sales experience; field sales management and product launch experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire/develop ethical, team-oriented sales professionals.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; ability to build relationships and generate innovative ideas/solutions.
- Proven ability to launch/build first-in-category, market-leading brands.
- Proven leadership/vision in a fast-moving environment; strategic agility, collaboration, trust, high ethics/integrity.
- Valid driverβs license with clean US driving history.
- Ability to travel within the region.
