District Manager (DM) Responsibilities:
- Observe Sales Representatives/Territory Managersโ sales presentations in the field and provide feedback.
- Complete field coaching reports after each travel day.
- Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
- Ensure teamwork across brand stakeholders (e.g., MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
- Coach the group to make effective sales presentations; improve performance and hold representatives accountable for performance goals.
- Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and regional expectations.
- Share success stories and best practices with the region.
- Monitor data analytics to maximize impact on prescribing physicians.
- Implement and manage incentive programs for Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
- Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, supplies, data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs Degree in a related discipline.
- 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience (required).
- 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment (preferred).
- Experience managing sales representatives (required) and a demonstrated track record of success.
- Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; track record of building strong teams.
- Product launch experience (preferred).
- Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Ability to interpret and utilize business data.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).
- Ability to deliver presentations verbally and perform physical job duties: driving in large territory, travel by airplane and car (usually within the US), standing for prolonged periods, and other assigned duties; ~50โ75% travel required.
