Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care β Northeast
Responsibilities
- Meets & exceeds corporate sales objectives for the Northeast region (NY, CT, MA, PA).
- Plans, directs, implements, and oversees Territory Manager policies and activities in the assigned geography.
- Recruits, retains, and develops high-performing Territory Managers.
- Assesses regional developmental needs and provides individualized development and coaching.
- Drives regional performance while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Provides consistent, proactive, individualized coaching to Territory Managers; counsels the sales team to overcome performance deficiencies.
- Demonstrates company culture norms through leadership style and collaboration.
- Fosters a people-first, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, inclusiveness, and accountability.
- Manages and allocates regional resources; ensures execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
- Ensures Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and align with corporate goals.
- Works with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps.
- Reviews regional data and dashboards to identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Establishes and cultivates productive relationships with the Eye Care community; acts as an ambassador/conduit to key customers and Senior Leadership.
- Stays updated on Eye Care marketplace developments.
- Complies with legal, regulatory, and compliance policies; maintains integrity and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent) and 6β8 years of pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales experience with strong technical knowledge, selling techniques, and medical terminology.
- Eye Care experience strongly preferred; 2β3+ years of management experience preferred (equivalent experience/education considered).
- Lives within the geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel extensively (overnights; evenings/weekends as needed).
- Demonstrated success coaching and developing top talent; ability to assess talent to build strong teams.
- Leadership skills aligned to personal growth & development, accountability, and achievement.
- Ability to drive results and execution; sets challenging objectives and raises performance standards.
- Supports the regulatory environment; promotes products compliantly.
- Strong business acumen; uses data to build business plans and uncover opportunities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, applicable CRM, and similar databases.
- English proficiency (speaking, comprehension, reading, writing).
Compensation
- Salary range: $148,000 - $222,000
