Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and manage Account Managers to build a high-performing regional team.
- Lead regional launch execution to drive awareness, demand generation, appropriate utilization, and sales performance.
- Develop and execute regional business plans prioritizing key accounts, customer segments, market opportunities, and resource allocation.
- Provide compliant leadership to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Execute the approved marketing plan with the regional team to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions, build customer relationships, adapt strategies, and ensure timely delivery of marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures.
- Use data, dashboards, and performance insights to monitor results, identify gaps, coach Account Managers, optimize execution, and guide resource allocation.
- Set performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching/feedback, and manage performance and disciplinary matters to ensure accountability, compliance, and a high-performing team culture.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs with Account Managers.
- Ensure compliance with field activities and company guidelines.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/medical (or related) sales experience.
- 2+ years district/regional field management experience.
- Experience leading teams in hospitals, health systems, and large practice groups.
- Understanding of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Proven success leading high-performing hospital/specialty/account-based teams in complex healthcare environments.
- Experience launching specialty/anti-infective/infectious disease/hospital-based products.
- Strong analytical skills; uses data and performance metrics to drive execution and resource decisions.
- Strong stakeholder influence across clinical/non-clinical audiences.
- Experience in matrixed organizations (sales, market access, reimbursement, provider accounts, medical affairs, marketing).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong oral/written communication.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (overnight) and ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
