Responsibilities
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers within a specific geographical area.
- Guide the team to achieve sales and business objectives; participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings and lead team meetings.
- Provide guidance to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet and exceed corporate forecasts.
- Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with guidelines; provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Lead, manage, and develop account manager skill sets and overall performance.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach account managers to ensure a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Provide effective, compliant leadership to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions; adapt strategies to build strong customer relationships.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; utilize analysis/reporting tools to monitor attainment.
- Set clear performance expectations; oversee direct reports to ensure policy adherence and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and ensure fair, timely resolution of disciplinary issues.
- Foster a rewarding environment that supports accomplishment and employee advancement/retention.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelorโ€™s degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70% (including overnight travel; majority of time in market).
- Valid Driverโ€™s License.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Experience launching drug.
- Preferred experience in Hepatology.
- Experience leading sales teams engaging customers in academic institution or IDN setting.
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence acceptance of ideas.
- Excellent organizational skills in project planning, implementation, and cross-functional team management.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.

Requirements
- Travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
