Responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth for a designated region by developing and managing Account Managers.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers across a specific geographical area; guide the team to achieve sales and business objectives.
- Lead strategic national/regional/local meetings and meetings with the regional team.
- Provide guidance to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet/exceed corporate forecasts; monitor field activities for compliance.
- Provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and local market conditions; collaborate with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and other business units.
- Lead, manage, and develop account manager skill sets and overall performance.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach account managers to build a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Execute the approved regional marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; monitor goal attainment using Analysis & Reporting tools.
- Establish performance expectations, oversee direct reports’ activities for policy adherence, and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and timely resolution of disciplinary issues.
- Foster an environment that supports accomplishment and retention.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70% (including overnight travel).
- Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree.
- Experience launching drug.
- Preferred experience in Hepatology.
- Experience leading teams engaging customers in academic institution or IDN setting.
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent project planning/implementation and cross-functional team management skills.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.

- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong analytical/technical abilities with customer service focus to exceed business goals.

Requirements:
- Travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
