Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and manage Account Managers; build a high-performing regional team.
- Lead regional launch execution to drive awareness, demand generation, appropriate product utilization, and sales performance.
- Develop and execute regional business plans (key accounts, customer segments, market opportunities, resource allocation).
- Provide leadership to compliantly meet/exceed sales targets.
- Execute the approved regional marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions; adapt strategies and build customer relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery of regional marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures.
- Use data/dashboards/insights to monitor results, identify gaps, coach Account Managers, optimize execution, and guide resource allocation.
- Set performance expectations; coach/feedback; manage performance/disciplinary matters to ensure accountability and compliance.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs with account managers for hands-on coaching.
- Build an accountable culture that drives achievement, engagement, development, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with field activities and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS; valid driverβs license.
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/medical sales.
- 2+ years district/regional field management.
- Hospital/health system/large practice group leadership.
- Strong knowledge of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Preferred:
- Proven success leading hospital/specialty/account-based sales teams in complex healthcare.
- Launch experience (anti-infective/infectious disease/specialty/hospital-based) with accountability to launch objectives.
- Deep hospital/IDN decision-making (formularies, stewardship, pathways, protocols, demand gen).
- Matrix leadership; coordinated execution across access/reimbursement/medical affairs/marketing.
- Analytical/data-driven; coach/develop talent; anti-infective/hospital specialty/infectious disease experience strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Regulatory/compliance adherence; presentation/selling; MS Office; strong oral/written communication; analytical/technical; customer-focused.
Requirements:
- Travel up to 50% (overnight); lift/move up to 35 lbs.
