Regional Sales Director - Southeast

Responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers within a specific geographical area.
- Guide the team to achieve established sales and business objectives; lead meetings and participate in strategic meetings.
- Provide guidance to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet and exceed corporate forecasts.
- Monitor field activities for compliance with guidelines; provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Lead, manage, and develop account managers’ performance; recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
- Develop and implement business plans; execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions; build customer relationships and adapt strategies.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; use reports/tools to monitor goal attainment.
- Establish performance expectations, oversee direct reports’ activities, and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and disciplinary resolution.
- Foster an environment that supports accomplishment and retention.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70% (including overnight; majority in market).
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree.
- Experience launching drug.
- Preferred experience in Hepatology.
- Experience leading sales teams in academic institution or IDN settings.
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence acceptance of ideas.
- Strong organizational skills in project planning/implementation and cross-functional team management.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.
Leadership Capabilities:
- Coach and develop selling and account management skills; customer experience; launch planning/execution; enterprise collaboration; strategic thinking; insight driven.
Skills:

Requirements:
- Travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
