Responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers within assigned geographical area.
- Guide the team to achieve sales and business objectives; participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings and lead team meetings.
- Provide leadership and guidance to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet/exceed corporate forecasts.
- Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with guidelines; provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Lead, manage, and develop account managers’ skills and performance; recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach to build a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership to meet/exceed sales targets.
- Execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions; build customer relationships and adapt strategies.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and sales tactics within the region.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; use reports/tools to monitor goal attainment per client agreements.
- Establish performance expectations, oversee direct reports’ activities, ensure policy adherence, and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and ensure fair/timely resolution of disciplinary issues.
- Foster a rewarding environment that supports employee accomplishment, advancement, and retention.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related medical sales.
- 2+ years of successful district/regional field management experience.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70% (including overnight travel).
- Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree.
- Experience launching a drug.
- Preferred experience in Hepatology.
- Experience leading sales teams engaging customers in academic institutions or IDN settings.
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent project planning/implementation and cross-functional team management.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.

- Strong analytical/technical abilities with customer-service focus to exceed business goals.

Requirements:
- Travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
