Regional Sales Director - NYC/Long Island

Responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers in a specific geographical area to achieve sales and business objectives.
- Participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings; lead team meetings.
- Guide team to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet/exceed corporate forecasts; monitor field activities for compliance with guidelines.
- Provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and local market conditions; collaborate with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and other business units.
- Lead, manage, and develop account managers’ skills and performance; recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach to ensure a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product through leadership and skill development.
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Provide leadership to meet/exceed sales targets; execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of marketing and sales tactics within the region.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; use reports/tools to monitor goal attainment per client agreements.
- Establish performance expectations, oversee direct reports’ activities, and provide continuous feedback; conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and resolve disciplinary issues fairly and timely.
- Foster a rewarding environment that supports accomplishment and retention.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales
- Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience
- Travel domestically up to 70% (includes overnight; majority of time in-market)
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Experience launching drug
- Preferred experience in Hepatology
- Experience leading sales teams engaging customers in academic institution or IDN setting
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to influence acceptance of ideas
- Excellent organizational skills in project planning/implementation and cross-functional team management
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams
Skills:
- Adherence to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
- Exceptional presentation and selling skills; strong business acumen
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog (preferred)
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office
