Regional Sales Director - NY/PA

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead regional sales performance and launch excellence within a defined geography and/or aligned hospital or large practice accounts.
- Develop and lead Account Managers to execute regional business plans, drive demand generation and appropriate product utilization, and achieve sales objectives compliantly.
- Provide field leadership in a matrixed environment; translate national strategy into regional execution and monitor local market dynamics.
- Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and manage Account Managers to build a high-performing team.
- Lead regional launch execution (awareness, demand generation, appropriate utilization, sales performance).
- Develop and execute regional business plans prioritizing key accounts, customer segments, market opportunities, and resource allocation.
- Execute the approved regional marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Leverage data/dashboards/performance insights to monitor results, identify gaps, coach Account Managers, and optimize execution/resource allocation.
- Set performance expectations; provide ongoing coaching/feedback; manage performance/disciplinary matters.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Ensure timely delivery of marketing and sales tactics; ensure compliance with all field activities and company guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driverβs license.
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales.
- 2+ years successful district/regional field management experience.
- Experience leading teams in hospitals, health systems, and large practice groups.
- Understanding of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven success leading hospital/specialty/account-based teams in complex healthcare environments.
- Experience launching specialty/anti-infective/infectious disease/hospital-based products vs. launch objectives.
- Deep knowledge of hospital decision-making (formulary, stewardship, pathways, protocol development, demand generation).
- Experience engaging multiple stakeholders (clinical/non-clinical) and leading IDN/health system/academic/large practice teams.
- Strong coaching ability for strategic account planning and execution.
- Experience in matrixed organizations across sales, market access, reimbursement, provider accounts, medical affairs, and marketing.
- Translate access/formulary/protocol adoption into sustained utilization.
Requirements:
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
