Regional Sales Director - Great Lakes

Responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage the activities of Account Managers within a specific geographical area.
- Guide the team to achieve sales and business objectives; participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings and lead team meetings.
- Provide guidance to drive sales objectives compliantly to meet and exceed corporate forecasts.
- Monitor field activities for compliance; provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Collaborate with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and other business units.
- Lead, manage, and develop account managers; recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach for a high-performing team.
- Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
- Develop and implement business plans to meet organizational objectives.
- Execute the approved marketing plan with the regional team to maximize market penetration.
- Identify and monitor local market conditions; adapt strategies and build strong customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all field activities and company guidelines; ensure timely delivery of marketing and sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; use reporting/tools to monitor goal attainment.
- Establish clear performance expectations; oversee direct reports’ activities and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct regular field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching.
- Manage performance management and fair, timely resolution of disciplinary issues.
- Foster an environment that supports accomplishment and retention.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 70% (including overnight; majority of time in market).
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree.
- Experience launching drugs.
- Preferred experience in Hepatology.
- Experience leading sales teams engaging customers in academic institution or IDN setting.
- Understanding of market strategy and tactical mix.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills in project planning/implementation and cross-functional team management.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.
Skills:
- Ability to adhere to regulatory/legal/compliance standards.
- Exceptional presentation and selling skills with strong business acumen.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical/technical abilities with customer-service focus to exceed business goals.
Requirements:
- Travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: $182,250 to $303,750 (US).
- Annual bonus and eligibility for share-based long-term incentive program (role-dependent).
