Regional Sales Director responsibilities:
- Generate volume and market share growth by developing and managing a designated region.
- Lead, direct, and manage Account Managers within a specific geographical area; guide team to achieve sales and business objectives.
- Participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings; lead team meetings.
- Provide guidance to compliantly drive sales objectives to meet/exceed corporate forecasts.
- Monitor field activities for compliance with guidelines; provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Collaborate with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and other business units.
- Lead, manage, and develop account managers; recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach a high-performing team.
- Drive launch product awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales.
- Develop and implement business plans; execute the approved marketing plan to maximize market penetration.
- Identify/monitor local market conditions, build customer relationships, and adapt strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all field activities and company guidelines; ensure timely and effective delivery of regional marketing/sales tactics.
- Collaborate on goal setting and performance measures; use reports/tools (Analysis & Reporting) to monitor goal attainment.
- Establish performance expectations, oversee direct reports for policy adherence, and provide continuous feedback.
- Conduct field ride-alongs for hands-on coaching; manage performance management and fair/timely resolution of disciplinary issues.
- Foster an environment that supports accomplishment, advancement, and retention.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/medical/related medical sales.
- Minimum 2 years’ successful district/regional field management experience.

Required:
- Domestic travel up to 70% (including overnight); Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred:
- Advanced degree; experience launching drug; Hepatology experience.
- Experience leading sales teams engaging customers in academic institution or IDN setting.
- Understanding of market strategy/tactical mix; strong interpersonal/organizational/communication skills.
- Excellent project planning and cross-functional team management.
- Ability to hire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent oral and written communication.

- Annual base salary range: $182,250–$303,750; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive eligibility.
