Position Overview
- Regional Sales Director (RSD) responsible for developing and executing sales activities in an assigned region while providing field-based leadership to Account Managers; drives performance through coaching, talent development, and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure sales goals are consistently achieved.
- Recruit, hire, and manage a high-performing team.
- Coordinate in-field activity with agreed-upon accounts.
- Plan and conduct region plan of action and other meetings as needed.
- Develop and execute business plans to meet/exceed sales objectives for the assigned region.
- Maintain technical expertise to respond to questions on products, policies, and business issues.
- Demonstrate urgency and integrity in business interactions.
- When required, cover key accounts (virtual and in person) during account manager vacancies.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Uphold company mission and values (accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, teamwork).
- Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelorβs degree (BA/BS), preferably life sciences or business administration.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience (managing field sales reps).
- Proven sales success leading teams and developing talent.
- Patient access and market access pull-through experience/knowledge.
- Ability to deliver effective feedback and manage performance.
- Knowledge of FDA Marketing Compliance, PhRMA Guidelines, and the Sunshine Act.
- Travel 3β4 days/week (overnight/weekend expected).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong planning/organizational skills.
- Independent, results-driven, problem solver/collaborator.
- Valid Driverβs License.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and mobile technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fibromyalgia, rheumatology, neurology, or pain management.
- Product launch experience.
