Regional Sales Director (RSD), Central
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, train, develop, retain, and coach a diverse team of 8β10 Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS)
- Provide field insights to support strategic and tactical planning
- Lead flawless execution of priorities
- Achieve regional sales goals and targets
- Lead region and territory business planning
- Provide feedback to improve sales and marketing strategy
- Monitor regional expense budgets for compliance and optimal resource use
- Partner with Thought Leader Liaisons to develop compliant professional objectives with thought leaders and key institutions
- Translate corporate objectives and analytics into measurable, executable action plans for direct reports
- Coach and develop CSSs via field visits and one-to-one business/professional development discussions
- Track, monitor, and report on sales performance and progress
- Evaluate direct report performance and provide behavior-based feedback
- Foster collaboration across internal stakeholders
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Business travel required ~75β80% of the work week
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree (required)
- 10+ years leading a pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales team (required)
- Cardiology and/or rheumatology experience (strongly preferred)
- Rare disease experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience with injectables (preferred)
- Specialty pharmacy and HUB dynamics for patient access (required)
- Knowledge of reimbursement and healthcare environment trends
- Proven record exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets
- Experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, or other support functions (plus)
- Excellent communication skills translating strategy into execution
- Understanding of external laws, codes, and company policies for the healthcare industry
Compensation/benefits:
- Base pay range: $250,000β$270,000 USD; Sales Incentive plan included
