Position Overview
The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for developing and executing sales activities within an assigned region while providing field-based leadership to a team of Account Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure sales goals are consistently achieved.
- Recruit, hire, and manage a high-performing team.
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results with assigned accounts.
- Plan and conduct regional plan of action and other meetings as needed.
- Develop and execute business plans to meet/exceed sales objectives.
- Maintain technical expertise to respond to questions about products, policies, and business issues.
- Demonstrate urgency and integrity in all business interactions.
- Cover key accounts (virtual and in person) as required during account manager vacancies.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Uphold company mission and values (accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, teamwork).
- Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree (BA/BS), preferably life sciences or business administration (required).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience managing field sales reps (required).
- Demonstrated success leading teams and developing talent.
- Patient access and market access pull-through experience/knowledge.
- Ability to provide candid feedback and manage performance.
- Knowledge of FDA Marketing Compliance, PhRMA Guidelines, and the Sunshine Act.
- Travel 3β4 days/week; overnight/weekend travel expected.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong planning/organizational skills.
- Independent working style; organized, results-driven problem solver.
- Cross-functional collaborator.
- Valid Driverβs License.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and mobile technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fibromyalgia, rheumatology, neurology, or pain management.
- Product launch experience.
