Reporting to Sr. Director of Sales for the division, the Regional Sales Director (RSD), New England will lead, coach, motivate, and inspire a diverse team of Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS) responsible for compliantly educating Healthcare Providers and staff on recurrent pericarditis and treatment with Arcalyst for eligible patients. Lead customer targeting and account planning across the assigned region to maximize customer/patient experience and deliver business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, train, develop, retain, and coach 8β10 CSSs
- Provide field insights for strategic/tactical planning
- Execute regional priorities
- Achieve regional sales goals and targets
- Lead region and territory business planning
- Provide feedback to improve sales/marketing strategy
- Monitor regional expense budgets
- Partner with Thought Leader Liaisons to develop compliant business objectives with thought leaders and key institutions
- Translate corporate objectives and analytics into actionable plans for direct reports
- Coach CSSs via field visits and 1:1 business/professional development discussions
- Track, monitor, and report sales performance/progress
- Evaluate direct reports and provide behavior-based feedback
- Foster collaboration across internal stakeholders
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies
- Travel required ~75β80% of the work week
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree (Required)
- 10+ years leading pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales team (Required)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, highly collaborative team environment
- Cardiology and/or rheumatology experience (Strongly preferred)
- Rare disease experience (Strongly preferred)
- Experience with injectables (Preferred)
- Specialty pharmacy and HUB dynamics for patient access (Must)
- Knowledge of reimbursement and healthcare environment trends
- Proven record exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets
- Marketing/Sales Operations or support function experience (Plus)
- Excellent communication; translate strategy into execution
- Understanding of external laws/codes and healthcare industry policies
Compensation/Benefits:
- Expected salary range: $250,000β$270,000 annually; Sales Incentive plan included.
Note: Salary commensurate with experience.
