Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide company-approved medical/scientific information on therapeutic interests and company products.
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions; maintain ongoing presence as primary medical contact.
- Answer scientific questions and route out-of-scope requests (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources.
- Maintain expertise in the therapeutic area; support Scientific Exchange, Research, Scientific Congress Support, and Scientific Insights.
- Upon request: initiate discussions with SLs/potential investigators to align investigator-sponsored research with company research strategies; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention.
- Upon request: recommend study sites and investigators (Phase IIβIV), conduct Site Initiation Visits, support protocol lead activities with GCTO, and provide info to investigators about company-sponsored studies.
- Engage in scientific congresses/medical meetings for data exchange.
- Gather feedback/data during routine activities to inform medical/scientific needs and priorities.
Required Location/Travel:
- North East territory (MA, CT, VT, RI, NH, ME); candidate must reside in territory; travel up to 50%.
Required Education/Experience:
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
- 3+ years relevant therapeutic area experience beyond terminal degree (e.g., COPD/Respiratory).
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Stakeholder management, communication/networking; doctoral-level discussions.
- Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and relevant pharma ethical/regulatory guidelines.
- Organize/prioritize in changing environments; Microsoft Office; familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
Preferred:
- Additional Respiratory (COPD) experience; field-based medical experience; research experience; record of scientific/medical publications.
