Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) β€” Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology

Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide company-approved medical/scientific information on therapeutic interests and company products.
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain presence as medical contact.
- Answer scientific questions and route inquiries outside scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources.
- Maintain current knowledge of the scientific/clinical environment in the therapy area.
- On request (GCSA): Initiate discussions with SLs/potential investigators; align studies with research strategies, scientific merit, and qualifications; enhance understanding of investigator-sponsored research; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention.
- On request (GCTO): Recommend study sites; identify investigators; conduct Site Initiation Visits; collaborate on protocol lead responsibilities; address investigator questions on company-sponsored studies.
- Engage in scientific congresses/medical meetings to facilitate scientific and data exchange (including competitor data).
- Gather feedback/data to understand medical/scientific needs, priorities, and concerns of SLs/patients.

Qualifications / Required
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
- 3+ years relevant Immunology (IBD) experience beyond terminal degree.
- FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other relevant pharma ethical/regulatory understanding.
- Doctoral-level communication; strong stakeholder management.
- Ability to organize/prioritize in changing environments; Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.

Preferred
- Additional Immunology/Rheumatology/Dermatology experience; field-based medical experience; research experience; publications.

Location/Travel
- Northern California territory; reside within territory; travel up to 50%.
