Responsibilities (Primary Activities)
- Scientific Exchange: Develop relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs); conduct peer-to-peer discussions; provide company-approved medical/scientific information on therapeutic interest and products; answer scientific questions and route inquiries outside scope (e.g., grants); stay current on the scientific/clinical environment in the therapeutic area.
- Research: Upon request, collaborate with SLs/potential investigators to exchange scientific/data input aligned to research strategy, study concepts, merit, and compound/trial qualifications; support investigator-sponsored research understanding; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention. Upon request from Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO): recommend study sites and investigators for Phase IIβIV programs; conduct Site Initiation Visits; serve as protocol lead (with GCTO); answer investigator questions on participation in Company-sponsored studies.
- Scientific Congress Support: Engage in congresses/meetings and facilitate exchange of company and competitor data.
- Scientific Insights: Gather feedback/data to understand SL/patient medical/scientific needs and concerns.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
- Experience/Knowledge: 3+ years of relevant Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond terminal degree.
- Skills: principled verbal/written communication; ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions; strong stakeholder management/networking; knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and relevant pharma ethics/laws/regulations; ability to organize/prioritize in changing environments; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
- Preferred: additional Immunology/Rheumatology and/or Dermatology experience; field-based medical experience; research experience; scientific/medical publications.
Location/Travel
- Northeast territory; must reside within territory; travel up to 50%.
