Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison, MSL) – Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships and conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with Scientific Leaders; provide company-approved medical/scientific information and respond to scientific questions.
- Maintain current expertise in therapeutic areas of interest (AOI).
- Direct out-of-scope inquiries (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources.
- Upon request: partner with GCSA to align investigational concepts/compound/trials with research strategy; support understanding of investigator-sponsored research goals; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention.
- Upon request: partner with GCTO—recommend study sites and potential investigators, conduct Site Initiation Visits, and identify enrollment/retention barriers; support protocol lead responsibilities and investigator questions for company-sponsored studies.
- Support scientific congresses/medical meetings and facilitate scientific/data exchange.
- Gather and communicate feedback/data to understand SL/patient medical/scientific needs.

Location/Travel: Northeast region; reside in territory; up to 50% travel.
Qualifications:
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
- 3+ years of relevant Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond terminal degree.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Doctoral-level scientific communication; strong stakeholder management and networking.
- Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Ability to organize/prioritize in changing environments; Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Teams/OneNote); familiarity with virtual platforms.
Preferred:
- Additional Immunology/Rheumatology and/or Dermatology experience; field-based medical and research experience; publications.
