Role: Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison, MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to provide company-approved medical/scientific information.
- Conduct peer-to-peer discussions and provide a reliable medical contact.
- Address scientific questions; route out-of-scope topics (e.g., grants) per policy.
- Maintain current knowledge of the therapeutic area.
- (Upon request) Support investigator-sponsored research: initiate data/scientific discussions aligned to research strategy; assess merit/qualifications; identify barriers to enrollment/retention.
- (Upon request) Support clinical trial operations: recommend sites/investigators for phase II–IV; conduct Site Initiation Visits; collaborate as protocol lead with GCTO; answer investigator questions on participation in company-sponsored studies.
- Engage in scientific congresses/medical meetings and facilitate data exchange.
- Gather feedback/data during routine activities to identify SL/patient medical/scientific needs.
Required location/working conditions:
- Northern Texas (Dallas); candidates must reside in territory; travel up to 50%; remote.
Qualifications:
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD.
- 3+ years relevant Immunology (IBD) experience beyond terminal degree.
Required skills/knowledge:
- Strong verbal/written communication; ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions.
- Stakeholder management, networking; dedication to scientific education/dialogue.
- Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharma ethical/regulatory requirements.
- Ability to organize/prioritize in changing environments.
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote); familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
Preferred:
- Additional Immunology/Rheumatology and/or Dermatology experience; field-based medical experience; research experience; publication record.
