This is a field-based role. Geography includes: Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead promotional review process to deliver timely work in compliance with regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes.
- Manage strategy, execution, and budgeting for national/regional conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and commercial peer-to-peer education.
- Evaluate marketing tactics and recommend brand optimization opportunities to leadership.
- Provide in-depth insights to support marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development.
- Partner with field leadership to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies.
- Understand market drivers, competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence within assigned geography.
- Coordinate external vendors and internal departments (e.g., agency partners, marketing, market research, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, ethics & compliance, IT).
Thought Leader Engagement:
- Identify, build, and strengthen relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and patient/professional associations.
- Develop regional engagement plans and ensure consistent execution to drive marketing engagement.
- Connect AbbVie Integrated Brand Teams to collaboration opportunities in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications / Key Skills:
- Mastery of verbal and non-verbal communication/presentation skills (live/virtual).
- Experience working with integrated cross-functional teams; influence without direct authority.
- Ability to navigate field/headquarter matrix organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulations/standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products.
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs Degree.
- 2+ years of experience in Immunology (preferred) with sales/sales management/marketing experience.
- Previous Gastroenterology experience (preferred).
- Travel up to 75% including evenings/weekends.
- Valid driverβs license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
