POSITION / ROLE
Field-based executive leadership role building and leading a high-performing regional team of District Sales Managers and Clinical Account Specialists (CAS) to support the launch and ongoing growth of Ionisโs commercial product as indications expand. Reports to the U.S. Head of Sales and is responsible for setting regional vision aligned to brand strategy, coaching, motivating, hiring, and retaining talent, and partnering cross-functionally to meet customer and patient needs in a compliant manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute brand strategic plans via customer-focused regional strategic account plans.
- Develop insight-driven tactics for key customer needs (e.g., hospital/office-based endocrinologists, cardiologists, and sub-specialties).
- Oversee short- and long-term plans for key accounts and manage key customer relationships.
- Adjust regional strategy to meet business goals; foster innovation and best-practice sharing.
- Lead team values and compliance-focused culture; inspire/recognize teams; conduct regular check-ins with coaching and development plans.
- Identify training needs with Learning & Development; oversee performance plans using KPIs and customer insights.
- Conduct performance reviews/coaching; ensure achievement of MBOs; manage poor performance.
- Ensure cross-division alignment on messaging/brand strategy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, compliance, market access, patient services, etc.) and share customer/operational insights.
- Attract/retain talent; plan/monitor approved budgets; advise on onboarding/training and career development; lead integrated customer experience using data insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid U.S. driverโs license and compliant driving record.
- Bachelorโs degree (Life Science/ Biology or business-related); MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
- 15+ years cross-functional commercial life sciences experience (pharma/biotech).
- Strong business acumen and success leading strategic plans across complex healthcare environments (managed care, contracting strategy, IDN networks, Centers of Excellence).
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional account teams in ambiguous environments.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding quantitative/qualitative targets.
- Successful partnerships with customers and organizations; experience mentoring/leading front-line managers preferred.
- Solid understanding of healthcare system, market access, and payer reimbursement policies; adherence to applicable laws/codes/company policies.

- Pay scale: $220,000โ$265,000.
