Position: Regional Executive Director (field-based)
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high-performing regional team of District Sales Managers and Clinical Account Specialists (CAS) supporting launch and growth of Ionisโs first wholly owned commercial product as indications expand to severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
- Set regional strategic vision aligned to brand strategy; coach, motivate, hire, retain talent; ensure accountability for results.
- Develop and execute customer-focused regional strategic account plans; maximize opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Build and leverage relationships across the local healthcare system; lead plans to meet customer and company goals.
- Oversee key account short- and long-term plans; own key customer relationships as needed.
- Foster innovation and best-practice sharing; contribute to recommendations on field structures, incentives, sales process, and customer approach.
- Lead training and performance management; conduct reviews and coaching for District Managers.
- Ensure MBO achievement; operate with integrity and compliance; manage poor performance.
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., marketing, compliance, market access, patient services) to align messaging and ways of working.
- Plan and monitor region budgets; attract/retain talent; advise on onboarding/training and career development.
Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. driverโs license with compliant driving record.
- Bachelorโs degree (BS/BA Life Science/Biology or related; or business-related field).
- MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
- 15+ years cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma/biotech).
- Proven success meeting/exceeding quantitative targets; strong business acumen and strategic planning in complex healthcare environments (managed care, contracting, IDNs, Centers of Excellence).
- Ability to lead complex cross-functional account teams; operate under ambiguity.
- Proven customer/organizational partnership track record; experience mentoring front-line managers preferred.
- Solid knowledge of healthcare system, market access, and payer reimbursement.
Benefits/Pay:
- Pay scale: $220,000โ$265,000.
