Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead oncology products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow a sales team to consistently achieve/exceed regional sales targets.
- Provide in-person representation and face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners within the assigned region (SoCal: Greater Los Angeles to San Diego).
- Train Specialists to build relationships with healthcare practices and deliver timely disease awareness information, clinical updates, and healthcare changes.
- Coach/counsel the sales team; recruit, hire, manage, and develop specialists (learning plans, training solutions, mentoring).
- Track sales-force effectiveness and reinforce regional measures to meet corporate objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functionally (National Accounts, Marketing, Medical Scientists, and other teams); share product/disease state developments.
- Develop and maintain key account relationships; represent the company at professional events.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school + 16 yrs OR Associate + 14 OR Bachelor + 12 OR Master + 10 OR Ph.D. + 8.
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned area and meet onsite visitation requirements (as applicable).
- Valid driverβs license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 yrs relevant commercial experience; 8 yrs progressive oncology; 4 yrs oncology leadership (District Manager) incl. product launches.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic/project management, interpersonal/influencing, executive presence, and oral/written communication.
