Regional Director, Sales Oncology (SoCal: Greater Los Angeles to San Diego)
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead’s products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow a sales team to achieve/exceed regional sales targets.
- In-person representation and face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners.
- Train Specialists and strengthen relationships with healthcare practices to deliver disease awareness info, clinical updates/education, and healthcare changes.
- Set standards of excellence; manage day-to-day activities and ensure equitable management.
- Maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision-makers at major medical centers/clinics.
- Track sales force effectiveness and align execution with corporate objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with National Accounts, Marketing, Medical Scientists, and other internal teams.
- Analyze scientific/technical information and apply pharmaceutical marketing/sales regulations.
- Provide counseling/coaching to improve selling skills, product/disease knowledge, and time/resource allocation.
- Recruit, hire, and manage specialists; develop learning plans; recommend training/mentoring.
- Lead representation at professional events.
Basic Qualifications
- High School + 16 yrs OR Associate + 14 OR Bachelor + 12 OR Master + 10 OR PhD + 8.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned area and meet onsite practitioner visitation requirements (as applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ yrs relevant commercial experience; 8 yrs progressive oncology; 4 yrs oncology leadership as District Manager incl. product launches.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, project management, interpersonal skills, executive presence, and communications.
Benefits/Compensation
- Salary range: $205,615–$266,090; may be eligible for discretionary bonus/long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
