Role Summary
Regional Director, Oncology who will recruit, lead, develop and retain the Oncology Account Specialist team in the North Central Region, ensuring strong and consistent sales performance and driving results across the region. Collaborates with internal counterparts to ensure cooperation and transparency, and works with Training and Development to facilitate growth within the commercial organization while complying with all policies governing promotion of pharmaceutical and biologic products.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop a high integrity, high quality sales team and provide overall leadership.
- Meet and/or exceed assigned sales objectives and align action plans with brand initiatives.
- Lead regional sales force activities including hiring, training, performance evaluation and development while ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
- Ensure each employee is trained on and effectively implements customer education.
- Communicate current industry knowledge and competitor products to regional teams.
- Ensure participation in industry-related trade shows, meetings, conferences, etc.
Qualifications
- Required: 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years of sales leadership/management experience, including at least 3 years in a Regional Director/District Manager role in Oncology.
- Preferred: Experience in NSCLC and dermatologic cancer markets; Biologics and buy-and-bill experience or strong proven Oncology experience.
- Strong understanding of payer environment, reimbursement challenges within national/regional payer markets including government programs, managed care, and evolving health care systems.
- Successful in hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent within span of control.
- Ability to develop physician/customer clinical experts regionally and to communicate effectively as a leader.
