Responsibilities:
- Manage all business activities within assigned geography, including achievement of sales goals through executing brand strategies.
- Build relationships with physicians and accounts by providing scientific data and in-depth knowledge for Takeda’s Lysosomal Storage Disorder (LSD) portfolio.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to provide educational resources and tools to support early patient diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Educate HCPs on specific Lysosomal Storage Disorders, Gaucher Disease, and Hunter (MPS II) Syndrome; raise disease state awareness within defined geography.
- Partner with cross-functional team members to integrate resources and help educate HCPs on facilitation of therapy.
- Educate and inform HCPs on LSD signs/symptoms, differential diagnosis process, and appropriate Takeda treatment options.
- Coordinate with cross-functional and internal business partners to maximize impact and improve business outcomes.
- Analyze and apply market data to assess business opportunities/priorities and regional patient dynamics.
- Attend conferences/exhibits; plan and execute disease state/product programs using approved vendors.
- Motivate and partner with extended team members to improve performance.
- Integrate and prioritize US LSD approved sales leads and tactics to optimize customer engagement and account outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in pharma/biotech/medical device or related industries.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary internal/external teams.
- Strong marketplace acumen; consistent track record of success.
- Rare disease experience preferred; complex sales model experience required.
- Demonstrated strategic territory management success; experience working in a complex sales model.
- Biotech/biologics/specialty pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy & bill experience/account management preferred.
- Understand payer access and reimbursement at assigned regional/state/local levels.
- Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues.

Travel & training:
- Live in the territory; work evenings/weekends as needed; extensive travel (~50%); ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Initial non-exempt status includes overtime eligibility during training period only.
