About the Role:
- The Regional Business Leader, Dermatology mentors a team to work cross-functionally with Healthcare Providers and Key Accounts to identify shared priorities, deliver clinical value, and provide patient-centered resource messaging to establish Takeda as a preferred partner.
- Takes ownership of implementing company priorities to maximize sales results; hires, leads, and develops a new team of representatives.
How you will contribute:
- Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team; communicate and supervise KPIs; engage all levels of performance.
- Model leadership by setting a shared vision, clear expectations, accountability, enabling others to act, and advancing/optimizing processes.
- Develop, implement, and cultivate customer-centric business plans with customer engagement and cross-functional partners.
- Embed a customer-centric culture; encourage team members to speak up, solve problems, collaborate, complyingly experiment, and “fail forward.”
- Develop and implement market-based business strategies to achieve sales objectives; build plans by analyzing data and market/account information.
- Proactively evaluate business opportunities and provide recommendations to RSD and district sales team.
- Implement sales and marketing programs supporting U.S. growth in assigned district.
- Ensure full compliance of all selling activities with applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Provide strategic input to Marketing to develop and evolve the marketing plan.
- Establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across local/regional/national accounts.
- Serve as liaison with internal business partners and work with Regional/National Account Managers on managed market issues.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
- 5+ years of management level experience in pharmaceutical/immunology/biologic-biotech/medical device industries (e.g., district, specialty accounts, marketing, or product management)
- Prior pharmaceutical sales representative experience with proven selling success
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to changing market conditions
- Ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback
- Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic, actionable plans
- Strong verbal/written/presentation communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Comfortable with emerging technologies; adaptable to digital tools and AI-enabled processes
- Reside in or within close proximity to assigned geography
Preferred:
- MBA or Master’s Degree
- People leadership experience
- Established relationships with medical dermatologists
- Account-based sales experience (hospital/health system/large group practice)
- Experience in Immunology/Dermatology or Gastroenterology
- Product launch experience
Travel Requirements:
- 50–75% travel to support the region, including overnights
- Ability to drive or fly to meetings/client sites and attend local and national meetings/training
