About the Role:
- Mentors and leads the team to work cross-functionally with Healthcare Providers and Key Accounts to identify shared priorities, deliver clinical value, and provide patient-centered Takeda resource messaging as a preferred partner.
- Instills a culture of high-performance, accountability, and compliant behavior to execute brand strategy and tactics.
- Owns and implements company priorities to maximize sales results; hires, leads, and develops a new team of representatives.
How you will contribute:
- Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team to deliver strategic sales objectives and manage KPIs.
- Model expected leadership behaviors; encourage shared vision, clear expectations, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Develop, implement, and cultivate customer-centric business plans with customer engagement and cross-functional partners.
- Champion a customer-centric culture that encourages speaking up, problem-solving, collaboration, compliant experimentation, and learning from failure.
- Develop and implement market-based business strategies by analyzing data, account information, and market data.
- Evaluate business opportunities and provide recommendations to RSD and district sales team.
- Implement sales and marketing programs supporting U.S. growth in the assigned district.
- Ensure full compliance of selling activities with State and Federal regulations.
- Provide strategic input to Marketing for marketing plan development and evolution.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs); act as liaison with internal partners.
- Work with Regional and National Account Managers and Manage Markets partners to address managed market issues and maximize sales and product access.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
- 5+ years of management experience in pharmaceutical/immunology/biologic-biotech or medical device industries (e.g., district, specialty account, marketing, or product management)
- Prior pharmaceutical sales representative experience with a proven selling track record
- Demonstrated business and strategic planning; adaptability to changing market conditions
- Ability to coach, delegate, and motivate with timely feedback
- Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic, actionable plans
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Comfort with emerging technologies; adaptable to digital tools and AI-enabled processes
- Reside in or near assigned geography
Preferred:
- MBA or Master’s degree
- People leadership experience
- Established relationships with medical dermatologists
- Account-based sales experience (e.g., hospital/health system/large group practice)
- Experience in Immunology/Dermatology or Gastroenterology
- Product launch experience
