Regional Business Director (RBD), Immunology
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, lead, develop, and inspire a team of Account Managers to achieve and exceed regional sales goals.
- Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, integrity, strategic execution, and professional development.
- Develop and implement performance plans to support AM skill growth, capability building, and succession planning.
- Conduct regular field rides and coaching sessions to reinforce customer-centric engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards in all field activities.
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans tailored to local markets.
- Use market data, customer insights, and analytics to identify opportunities/challenges and adjust strategies.
- Oversee pull-through of brand initiatives, launch plans, and disease-area priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders for aligned, compliant execution.
- Build relationships with key customers (HCPs, administrators, influential institutions) across immunology.
- Support AMs with deeper customer insights and territory planning.
- Communicate customer needs and marketplace dynamics to inform strategy and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other functions for coordinated, compliant engagement.
- Support congress activities, regional events, and speaker programs.
- Manage regional budget and report performance trends, recommendations, and competitive insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience; 5β7 years leading field sales teams.
- Strong preference: rheumatology, immunology, rare disease, biologics, or specialty care.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, performance planning, and skill development.
- Proven sales performance in competitive specialty markets.
- Strong understanding of payer dynamics, specialty pharmacy distribution, and access challenges.
- Excellent strategic, business planning, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal leadership.
- Ability to travel extensively across the region.
- Talent Developer, Strategic Operator, Cross-Functional Influencer, Customer-Focused Leader, and Integrity & Compliance.
- Preferred location: reside in Atlanta, Tampa, or Miami area.
Compensation/Benefits
- Eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package; base salary range $220,000β$270,000 plus total rewards including bonus and equity.
