Position Summary
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 Regional Account Managers to deliver strong business performance and meaningful patient impact across the assigned region (California).
- Translate national/zone strategy into focused local execution; drive continuous learning, accountability, clinical credibility, and patient commitment.
- Provide field insights and align cross-functional partners (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, Operations, Advocacy).

Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Create a regional business plan (objectives, account priorities, resource allocation, success measures).
- Set a disciplined operating rhythm (field coaching, business reviews, performance tracking, opportunity planning, rapid course correction).
- Use data/market intelligence/field insights to identify growth opportunities and improve execution.
- Own regional results and resource stewardship (budget management, forecasting).
- Recruit, onboard, develop, engage, and retain talent; provide in-field coaching and actionable feedback.
- Build individualized development plans, stretch opportunities, and succession readiness; address performance concerns promptly.
- Ensure account strategies reflect local patient journeys and competitive/access realities.
- Improve customer engagement across relevant hepatology/gastroenterology settings; support patient-journey barrier removal from identification to persistence.
- Coach for clinical-relevant communication; maintain knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease and access/reimbursement.
- Lead ethical, compliant behavior; champion change and remove obstacles.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years progressive pharma/biotech commercial experience.
- 3+ years first-line sales leadership with responsibility for field team performance/talent development.
- Demonstrated business results and talent development.
- Strong field coaching and feedback/performance management.
- Rare disease/orphan/high-science commercial experience.
- Experience in hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatric specialty or complex specialty markets.
- Experience leading through launch/indication expansion/change/competitive markets.
- Account-based selling; health-system dynamics/referral networks/centers of excellence; patient services role.
- Partnering experience with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training and Effectiveness, and Operations.
- Ability to interpret data and translate plans into execution; excellent communication/executive presence/judgment.
- Valid driverโ€™s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
