Regional Strategy & Performance Leadership
- Translate national and zone priorities into a focused regional business plan with clear objectives, account priorities, resource allocation, and measures of success.
- Set a disciplined operating rhythm (field coaching, business reviews, performance tracking, opportunity planning, rapid course correction).
- Use data, market intelligence, and field insights to identify growth opportunities, anticipate barriers, and improve execution.
- Own regional results and resource stewardship (budget management, forecasting, and alignment to highest-impact opportunities).

People Leadership, Coaching & Development
- Recruit, onboard, develop, engage, and retain Regional Account Managers.
- Coach in the field by observing customer engagement, reinforcing strengths, and addressing capability gaps.
- Create individualized development plans, provide stretch opportunities, and build succession/promotion readiness.
- Set expectations and hold self/team accountable for behaviors, execution quality, and results; address performance concerns promptly.

Customer, Account & Patient Impact
- Ensure thoughtful account strategies reflecting local patient journeys, referral networks, access dynamics, customer needs, and competition.
- Improve customer engagement quality across pediatric and adult hepatology/gastroenterology (priority systems, centers of excellence).
- Coordinate compliantly to remove barriers in the patient journey from identification through treatment initiation and persistence.
- Promote a customer experience grounded in trust, empathy, responsiveness, and follow-through.

Clinical & Business Acumen
- Bridge science and strategy in a rare disease market.
- Maintain knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, Liver portfolio, access/reimbursement, and competitive landscape.
- Coach clinical-relevant communication and tailored account engagement.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build partnerships across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Commercial Training & Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy.
- Share actionable field insights to inform strategy, messaging, training, resources, and execution.
- Align cross-functional partners and ensure follow-through on agreed actions.

Culture, Change & Compliance
- Lead with humility, transparency, optimism, and consistency; create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Champion change, simplify complexity, remove obstacles, and stay resilient amid ambiguity.
- Model and reinforce ethical conduct and compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and approved promotional practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years progressive commercial experience in pharma/biotech.
- 3+ years successful first-line sales leadership with direct responsibility for field team performance and talent development.
- Track record delivering business results while building engaged teams.
- Strong field coaching, candid feedback, performance management, and leader development experience.
- Rare disease/orphan drug/high-science commercial experience.
- Experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty markets.
- Experience leading through launch, indication expansion, organizational change, or dynamic competitive market.
- Knowledge of account-based selling, health-system dynamics, referral networks, centers of excellence, and patient services roles.
- Experience partnering with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Commercial Training & Effectiveness, and Operations.
- Ability to interpret business data, develop regional strategies, and execute plans.
- Excellent communication, executive presence, judgment, organizational skills, and prioritization.
- Valid driverโ€™s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
